From a young age, I found admiration and beauty in color. Everything around me seemed so vibrant, so pleasing to the eye. I never really had a favorite color- they all appealed to me in some way or another. Yellow reminded me of the sun, making me feel warm and happy. However, with blue my brain pictured waves crashing on the shore of my favorite Florida beach, inundating me with relaxation. Everyone sees color with a different perspective and level of interest. My interest at a young age caused me to transfer that visual admiration into drawings, paintings, and endless amounts of hand crafted items. The strong interest in color I acquired as a young girl had an influence on my interest in art as years came and went, and as I became the college student I am now. Currently, I am an Intended-Graphic Design major. A large part of "Design" is, in fact, color. I like to take an idea in my mind and turn it into something eye catching. For me, every color has its own mood associated with it, putting meaning and emotion into every piece I make. In the future, I hope to use my creativity in the workplace to draw people's eyes to color and to hopefully show them why colors are so important to me.
