Shirley Xia

I am a junior attending Binghamton University. I am majoring in Biological Sciences, minoring in Asian and Asian American Studies, and on the pre-physician assistant track.

I participated in a competitive two-year biomedical program in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and interned and shadowed in the Urology Department and Radiology Department, respectively. I also completed a research project about assessing the unmet needs and feasibility of a web-based tool to enhance ostomy care in bladder cancer patients, which was accepted for the New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYSEF).
