Sylvain Gasançon

Winner of the 2005 Eduardo Mata International competition in Mexico, I arrived second the following year in the Jorma Panula International competition in Finland.

Trained as a violinist, I have studied at the Brussel's Royal Conservatoire, the Paris National Supérieur Conservatoire, then in Salzburg, Siena, Ottawa, Lausanne and Saint Petersburg with maestros Gerhard Markson, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Pinchas Zukerman and Jorma Panula.

With more than 30 different orchestras mainly on the european and american continents, I have developed a wide repertoire from classical to contemporary music, with a special interest in the romantic and modern repertoire.
