Singapore 1981 : I joined APA Insight Guides, a publishing company producing award-winning travel guides. I managed a stock photolibrary servicing clients from the advertising and publishing industries of SE Asia. I negotiated a strategic affiliation with a London-based stock photography brand, growing the profile and doubling the profitability of the Singapore business in 5 years. I left Singapore to migrate to Australia.

Adelaide, Australia 1991 : I joined the fledgling advertising agency Killey and Withy. Over the next 21 years, the agency came to be known as kwp!, I became Account Director, then Group Head, General Manager, Strategist / Planner and finally Joint Managing Partner and Member of the Board. Clients included some of South Australia's iconic brands including: South Australian Tourism, People's Choice Credit Union, Santos, Health Partners, RAA, Yalumba,

Since March 2013, my focus has been developing a career as an independent consultant. This allows me to focus on areas about which I am passionate – managing businesses and people, developing brand and marketing communications.

I believe the future of marketing communications lies in people of diverse skills collaborating across diverse disciples and platforms that fragmentation of media has opened up. I thrive on bringing together and working with good thinkers and doers from these different backgrounds.

My new role also gives me the flexibility to indulge my other passions – travel, world cultures and food.
