Sylvia Montgomery
Marketing, branding, and strategy implementation is what Sylvia Montgomery delivers to her clients. Involved in the marketing profession for over twenty years she provides a compliment to the broad range view and the narrow focus areas of the industry, through frequent outreach to many key stakeholders and thought leaders in the A/E/C industry. Sylvia started her A/E/C career in one of the Mid-Atlantic's fastest-growing engineering firms. Her work with the industry for nearly a decade has afforded her the opportunity to witness the highs associated with a booming construction cycle and the lows of the economic meltdown that brought the industry to its knees. She now consults with A/E/C clients nationally; her on-the-ground experiences provide a "realistic" dimension to her practical advice. Sylvia is an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), DC Chapter.
Sylvia's prior leadership positions include leading marketing teams at a major commercial products brand, technology and B2B consulting firms. She frequently speaks and authors on topics related to the A/E/C industry, online and offline marketing. In her spare time, she has served as an adjunct professor at both Trinity College and the George Washington University.
Sylvia has an MBA from the University of Maryland, University College; an MFA from the George Washington University and a BA from Trinity University.
