Sylvie Hache
A Christian and the author of Insight In Sight: Was I Born Like This?, Sylvie Hache dedicates herself to helping people who are considering an alternative lifestyle. Through her book, Ms. Hache offers the wisdom and humility gained from her personal experiences to those faced with challenging choices. Sylvie Hache has lived a straight as well as a gay lifestyle, studied numerous approaches to personal health, and worked in a variety of industries, acquiring insight along the way that she now shares through her writing.
Sylvie Hache graduated from West Kings District High School and Annapolis Regional Vocational School in 1983 where she focused on business administration. During this time, she also earned certification as a Reflexologist and Iridologist, studying at the International Institute of Reflexology and with the founder of iridology, Dr. Bernard Jenson. In 1989, Ms. Hache assumed the responsibilities of a foster parent through Catholic Children's Aid Society, completing a variety of courses such as Behavioral Management and Identifying Abuse Victims. She then continued to apply these skills as a home daycare provider, serving in this role from 1992 to 1997.
In 1997, Ms. Hache undertook a program in film and television production at Humber College, earning honors in her first year. Following graduation in 1999, she joined Absolute Locations as a Location Manager and Scout for short format music videos and commercials. After a two-year tenure as Office Manager and Bookkeeper for another company, Ms. Hache decided to start her own business. She began Healthy Body and Lifestyle Management in 2003, applying both her business skills and her background in alternative medicine, while also offering such services as nutritional coaching and body wraps. In 2005, she began a new business, Flexi-care Childcare Services, through which she offers 24-hour childcare and parenting support. Passionate about helping families as well as those struggling with a non-traditional lifestyle,
Sylvie Hache currently divides her time between her duties with Flexi-Care and ministering to others through her book. In her free time, she maintains church involvement as a member of Living Hope Church and The Meeting House.
