SYSTEMarchitects was co-founded in 1988 by partners Jeremy Edmiston and Douglas Gauthier in New

York City. The architecture firm focuses on creating contemporary spaces that are

multi-layered, overlapping, and intertwining. In addition to creating

innovative buildings that reflect contemporary culture, the firm also strives

to engage with New York City’s culture in order to complete projects for

various economies and environments.The diversity of SYSTEMarchitects’ work is reflected in

their numerous projects, such as their winning entries for the 2004 ""New Housing

New York Competition"" and the 2003 ""SECCA HOME House Competition."" SYSTEMarchitects has been

lauded for its services and has received numerous awards and accolades, such as

being featured in Time Magazine as

Innovators in 2005 for the Burst .003 housing prototype. Other awards won by

the architecture firm include ""Design Vanguard in 2001"" from the Architectural Record, the ""Wilkinson Award"" from the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 2006, and
