Joanne Szewai

I’mJoanne,a professional and conference speaker living in Singapore as well as a lover of cats, startups and technology.

I have graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Management with Marketing from Royal Holloway and Bedford New College in London. I’m armed with several certifications ranging from Python programming, software testing to even financial advisory. I was once a qualified Ministry of Education (MOE) Registered Instructor and Allied Educator; and have taught Primary school level English and Science.

With more than 20 years of corporate and 10 years of management experience, I have in-depth knowledge of a wide breadth of skills across different industries. I have achieved track records for improving user experience (UX) and customer satisfaction (CSAT) for different organisations. I’m adept at bridging performance gaps, developing improvement initiatives, delivering excellent service and help to customers and users. I am capable of not only providing superior service but also in leading a team of fellow excellent service professionals.

I have attained several noteworthy achievements in my management career: 0.2% complaint rate in the industry average of 3.5% for a ฿358 billion Thai Hospitality Group; increased overall team performance by 21.58% and reduced 66.7% response time for a SEHK-listed Telecom company; solidified contracts and developed a new line of support for an €11 billion Dutch dairy conglomerate; headed campaign projects for one of the Big Tech companies; spearheaded two tech projects for an American Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer and a US$10 billion Indonesian technology group. I supported an American start-up in Singapore, developing and establishing new features, flow changes, bug fixes, certification journey and user enablement projects.

I believe in innovative, holistic design solutions that effectively cross milestones and empower people to accomplish more. I bring great value and can align business interests with stakeholders, bringing my business acumen, capabilities and skills to any organisation.
