Terence Cavanaugh
Fulbright Specialist, Educational Technologist, and associate professor in Jacksonville, Florida
Dr. Terence Cavanaugh is an associate professor in the department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Instructional Technology at the University of North Florida and is a Fulbright Specialist for educaitonal technology. With degrees science education and instructional technology, his areas of research and development include curriculum design, instructional technology, assistive technology, and teacher education. As a university educator, he instructs teachers in instructional technology, assistive technology, and educational design. Previous to his university work, he was a 6-12 classroom teacher for more than 15 years. He taught science and technology in the US, the Caribbean, Central America, China and the Middle East. Dr. Cavanaugh has also done educational consulting in reading technology, science, ESOL/ESL, exceptional student education, educational technology program development, and educational technology for school districts, the US Department of Energy, state Departments of Education, colleges, and industry. The educational materials he has developed include books on integrating media into science education, using electronic text in classrooms, websites for teachers on integrating technology into the curriculum, and effective methods for teaching special needs learners.
