Tyra Masters-Heinrichs writes mysteries, science fiction, horror, mixed genre fiction and non-fiction articles.

Tyra currently co-facilitate a monthly class on writing at the Selkirk Library (Gaynor Family Library) with author Ishbel Moore.

Tyra is a member of LWWG (Lake Winnipeg Writers’ Group), Sisters In Crime (www.sistersincrime.org), Lovers’ Knot and ACI Manitoba (Arts and Cultural Industries Association of Manitoba, www.creativemanitoba.ca). She is also a member of Manitoba Editors Association (www.manitobaeditors.ca).
She founded BK Publishing (a contract publishing company) in 2007 and through BK has helped produced several books by local writers. From Tractor Train to Bush Plane, by Conrad Lamb, was on McNally’s best sellers list for over two weeks. BK also released, Broken Harnesses, by Harry F. Wilkins and Roxane L. She is publishing her science fiction space opera, Dark Lords, Book One: Shadows, on her website, chapter by chapter and plans a 2015 print edition (based on feedback).
