Tabitha Merritt

I am currently studying a Masters in Marketing Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University which I am predicted to pass with Merit and hope to go into an agency focused role. After graduating from Keel University with a 2:2 in American Studies & History followed by a work placement with a PR and Marketing agency (Colin Higgin's & Associates, Cheltenham) I realised that I wanted to pursue a career in this field.

Since embarking on the course in September, my passion for the subject is ever growing and I eagerly await finishing my studies and using my knowleedge in a practicle way on a long-term basis. I geniunly love all aspects of marketing, whether it be SEO, constructing intergrated campaigns, branding and consumer research. The research I am currently undertaking for my dissertation, 'An Evaluation and Comparison of the Impact the Internet has on the Luxury Cosmetics, Beverage and Fashion markets', encompasses consumerism, branding and the impact of digital marketing.

My marketing experience is limited but due to my adaptable, practicle approach to work, I would be more than capable to make a positive impact on the organisation I was employed with. I am highly commited and always go the beyond my duties to create a better working environment and compliment the work of others. My extremely positive and able character has also resulted in me being elected leader in all group projects, elected student representative for the course and I recently won a prize for going the extra mile in my current job at a Manchester bar.

The jobs market is tough, but I hope through my persistance and enthusiasm for marketing I will go far in this industry.
