I observe. Then serve.
This application, “observing” and “serving” was crucial to my duties as Visual Editor for The Hampton Script, my alma mater’s newspaper. Utilized in both professional and social settings, I applied this motto working as a freelancer for the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times. As a writer, this is profoundly quintessential too.
When entering unfamiliar territory - whether it be small as a new class or significant as a new career - it is essential you become accustomed to the procedures and protocol. Without this knowledge, it will be difficult to adjust and ultimately, be of service. My performance as a working professional embodies and reflects this plan of action.
A graduate of Hampton University with degrees in graphic design and film, I am an innovative and passionate creator. I possess exceptional communicative and leadership capabilities along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills. I bring a positive and energetic attitude accompanied with a remarkable work ethic.I seek commissions and assignments that will offer the creative space to design and/or write. I am efficient in various design software and quite articulate in my written communication abilities.
As an rising professional, I intend to contribute to the overall professional setting - offering creativity and critical thinking skills to help generate innovative ideas and gain industry experience.
