Tadamori Yagi
Artist, Writer, and Actor in Los Angeles, California
Hi... My name is Tadamori Yagi. Most of my friends know me as "Tad". I'm not a Seattle based Grunge band. I'm an LA based actor of Japanese, Chinese, Korean American descent, who has worked professionally on films, TV shows, plays, and commercials.
PERSONAL BACKGROUND:
Born and raised in Berkeley, CA. I also lived in London, UK and Maplewood, NJ as a kid.
My first acting role was the lead role of Turkey Lurkey in the 2nd grade Thanksgiving Play. I got the part because instead of going "gobble gobble", in the throes of childhood depression, I made a velociraptor-like screeching noise... It was an instant hit.
As an adolescent/teen, I enjoyed the introverted hobbies of Warhammer 40,000 miniature painting, listening to Queen, playing electric guitar, and collecting Japanese comics... In my senior year of high school, in an attempt to be less socially awkward and to "get with girls", I took an improv class. It was then that I realized interacting on stage with real live people was way more fun than the imaginary characters in my head. After attending college I moved to LA. So began a creative career journey that has, so far, spanned my entire adult life.
PROFESSIONAL/ARTISTIC GOALS:
As an actor, I strive to give each role I play a sense of truth, humanity, emotional depth and unpredictability while also serving the intentions of both the writer and director. As a professional collaborator, I strive to be diligent, attentive, adaptable, and fun to work with.
Currently, I am actively seeking opportunities to grow my career and to build collaborative relationships with like-minded artists and professionals both domestically in the US and around the world.
In addition to scripted acting I also enjoy doing improv comedy with members of the LA indie improv scene.
OTHER INTERESTS:
Besides acting and filmmaking I have other creative interests such as painting, photography, writing, and listening to various musical genres including but not limited to classical, Ska, Ragae, 80's pop, and Brit Two-Tone. I also like to ride my single speed bike.
