Her name Kim Taeyeon means "The Great Beauty". She was born in March 9, 1989. She has so many nicknames like Taeng, Taengoo (Taeng9), Tete, Kid Leader, ByunTaeng (pervert Taeng), JumTaeng. Her Position in SNSD is Leader & Main Vocalist. She can speak Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese.
She Casted on 2004 SM 8th Annual Best Contest and win as the Best Singer 1st Place. She get trainee for 3 Years 3 Months before debut
Despite her kid-like appearance, Taeyeon is the oldest member and leader of SNSD. Her fanbase is the largest among female idol singers in Korea. She known as "OST Queen" because she has numerous of #1 hit drama soundtracks. even her vocal mentor is The One who praised her as his most memorable student.
