A Libran to the core, I was born in beautiful GOA – INDIA, on October 7th, where I grew up until the age of 15 after which I left for the United Kingdom. I spent close to 9 years in London pursuing my full-time (supposedly) higher education in Computer Studies, part-time in film making and my every breath becoming a citizen of the world.

It was during my life in London, that I conceived and formed a group which was aimed at promoting peace, love and tolerance in the world. In London, I got exposed to the rest of world, and with that came a harsh reality that many parts of the world were killing each other in the name of religions, colours and races. To a boy raised on a Goan beach, I just wished that the world would be as peaceful as those shores. We never knew hatred towards each other back home as we lived in tolerance and we considered each other as one. I wish that I could just tell the entire world about my peaceful home called GOA. So that’s how the group, aptly called The Uncultured Company was born, and its caption reads One World, One Faith, One Race. One Colour, Just A Different Face.

I have since used whatever talent that I am blessed with to do just this – humanitarian and spiritual unison between the people that I get a chance to cross paths with. I have written more than 200 poems (verses seems a lot more of an appropriate word here) – all published online. I have written feature films that were produced in India. I have written, produced and directed short films that have been blessed to have had international audiences across the world, thanks to the invention of the internet and some of the not-so-stuck-up and pompous film festivals. A short film I produced in 2009 got listed as being amongst the top 10 short films made by a person of Indian origin by the Times Of India. In 2013, I went to the Cannes film festival with my short film A GOD OF SINNERS, which I wrote, produced and directed.

I have lived my life like a free bird, owning the skies, rising above man made barriers, therefore enjoying all of this creation, her colours, cuisines, cultures etc, while still having my feet grounded in the values of my family, my upbringing in GOA, London and of course in the rich values of my gorgeous country INDIA.

However, I keep reminding myself that with this freedom comes a lot of responsibility to not stray. To constantly make sure that I am doing the right thing. Being able to know what is right and what i
