Hello, my name is Taher Ali, and I am an experienced eCommerce specialist with 12 years of expertise in Pakistan's eCommerce industry. I have successfully managed eCommerce stores for several leading brands across the country, driving growth and innovation in the digital marketplace.
I started my career at Chase Value as a photo editor, where I utilized my skills effectively and soon earned a promotion to product photography. My dedication and expertise led to another promotion, this time to the position of eCommerce website catalog manager. In this role, I successfully migrated the entire website from PrestaShop to Shopify.
After my tenure at Chase Value, I joined Edenrobe, a prominent fashion brand, as a Catalog Manager. In this role, I was responsible for managing both the Furror and Edenrobe websites. My duties included implementing discounts, managing the home pages, overseeing SKU inventory management, optimizing the order system in the warehouse, and enhancing the website's SEO. These responsibilities were key to ensuring the smooth operation and success of the brand's online presence.
After my tenure at Edenrobe, I joined Bachaaparty, one of Pakistan's leading brands, as the Head of eCommerce Operations. When I joined, the eCommerce operations lacked a defined system. I streamlined the entire eCommerce order flow, which resulted in increasing the daily order dispatch ratio from 100 to 600 orders. Additionally, I established a warehouse system, implementing a bin system and barcoding for efficient inventory management. I also enhanced the customer care center and introduced a 1-day delivery option, significantly improving overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Afterward, I joined Ideas by Gul Ahmed Textile, I’ve conducted in-depth analysis, such as targeting customers who hadn’t made repeat purchases. By reaching out to them through various channels like SMS, WhatsApp, and newsletters, I achieved an 8% conversion rate. Additionally, I performed inventory analysis to identify slow-moving items and implemented targeted marketing campaigns to improve their sales. I also focused on unsold inventory, conducting yearly inventory analysis to align with sales targets, and stayed updated on marketing trends.
Moreover, I integrated Looker Studio, allowing me to track customer sources, audience performance, and the effectiveness of campaigns by measuring ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) at the campaign level. I also onboarded an Omni-channel.
