Hey, I'm Tahseen Mia. I am a BAS student going into my second year at York University. I believe that coming to York has changed my perspective, for the better.

I have grown tremendously throughout my first year experience. I have learned, laughed and led while meeting fellow leaders. The engaging opportunities that I took part in have helped change me into a more involved individual, something I was lacking in my time in high school.

Being an engaged student has also helped me open up to others and express my emotions. I've always been a happy person and have also always been an awkward smiler. What I mean by this is that I've always had a hard time expressing my emotions. I am learning to be more open through my involvement in clubs at York and my recent involvement with YorkIsU and the RED Zone. Although I have just started with YorkIsU I have an overwhelming feeling that the amazing people I have met will positively change me in ways I cannot imagine.
