Taina has appeared in various TV commercials locally and nationally, such as for the company Nationwide Insurance Company and Blue Cross and Blue Sheild. She studies under her acting coach, Estes Tarver, who has helped her build her skills in acting through scene study work, and commercial work. Taina also studied under two lifetime members of the Actors Studio, including Kerry Shaer, who have taught her several acting techniques including The Lee Strasberg Technique. Recently, a year ago, she quit her day job to dedicate all of her energies to acting. She is also working at Duke University: School of Medicine in the Standardized Patient Program to portray different types of patients to help medical students in their studies of medicine. She is continuously honing her craft by taking acting classes and workshops.
