Taj Bell

Bio Taj Bell is a purveyor of perfect pixie pop. She writes, sings, sculpts and paints in County Dublin, Ireland. She is originally from Detroit and spent her teenage years performing in the ballet. She had the privilege of studying with Judith Jamison of the acclaimed Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, before going on to win a scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Her lifelong love of movement and grace has led to a passionate belief in fairies. She is the author and illustrator of “The Little Night Fairy”, a magical story for the young and not-so-young available on amazom.com. Taj is also a very talented singer-songwriter, with gossamer vocals that gently declare her unique message. Her voice was featured on Static Revenger’s Everything is Beautiful. She has spent many years performing musical showcases in the US, UK and Ireland. Taj toured Japan fronting Warn Defever’s His Name is Alive in 2001. In 2007 She won the support of National radio station Lyric FM with her pop jazz cover of the Undertones classic Teenage kicks. She has released several singles and Ep's including her most recent single "I love shoes" which was produced by one of Derry cities finest musicians Ray Curran. Listen out for those fairies!
