My deep ties to people development lie in the comparison between my life, which has has been filled with mentors that have helped me reach my goals, and the lives of people I have grown up with who never had positive role models in their lives. Seeing the difference I recognized the importance of mentorship, advocacy, and leadership through development.Throughout college, I volunteered in Chicagoland area through my fraternity,National Society of Black Engineers, and a program I created called "Ties to the Community." This work solidified for me the value of good mentorship and I took this with me into the work force by providing mentorship to frontline associates and also to college students who would like to go into my industry.
Away from work and volunteering, I collect vintage R&B vinyl, I am a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and I am an avid video gamer.
