Takunda Chingonzo is the founder of The Village Innovation Network which is a support network that focuses on innovation and technology and its ability to empower organizations and communities through entrepreneurship. He also manages Microsoft’s SkillsLab program in Africa, working with over 25 organizations to upskill thousands of developers across the continent. He is a member of the Institute of Directors in Zimbabwe and a board member of Afrilabs, a network of over 250 hubs across Africa.

In 2015, Takunda was featured on the cover of Forbes Africa Magazine, under the 30 under 30 list titled: Tomorrow’s billionaires for the work that he is doing and went on to receive an entrepreneurship award from President el- Sisi of Egypt at the World Youth Forum in 2018. From interviewing president Obama at the US Africa Summit, to speaking at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit and the Global Philanthropy Forum.

Takunda passionately articulates his desire to see a connected Africa leveraging on technology built by Africans for Africans. He is a Mandela Washington Fellow, a Yunus and Youth Fellow, a Kairos Fellow and an Obama Foundation Fellow and has received numerous awards and recognition attributed to his various work in empowering and driving the spirit of entrepreneurship across Africa. He is also a Chevening Scholar and Mansion House Scholar who will spend the next year at the University of Warwick pursing a Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Management.
