Fear of flying affects approximately 25% of the population, making it one of the most commonly experienced phobias among people. On Saturday, October 28th, Air Hollywood, the world’s largest aviation-themed entertainment studio will host FearlessFlight® Cleared for Takeoff 101 Class – a program that teaches anxious passengers how to manage their anxiety, overcome their fear, and gain the confidence to travel by commercial flight, which remains by all statistical measures the safest form of transportation.

First launched in May 2014 by Talaat Captan – CEO of Air Hollywood – and Captain Ron Nielsen – a top US aviation veteran with 40 years as a commercial airline pilot and 30 years of experience as a fear of flying coach – FearlessFlight® Cleared for Takeoff 101 Class is designed to build fearful flyers’ confidence through knowledge, anxiety-management training, and progressively elevated levels of exposure to the airplane passenger environment.

The next FearlessFlight® Cleared for Takeoff 101 Class is scheduled for Saturday, October 28th and features a brief classroom orientation followed by a three-hour immersive curriculum, starting in a faux airport terminal, TSA checkpoint, departure lounge, jetway, and ultimately a flight onboard Air Hollywood’s turbulence-generating airplane mockup. This state-of-the-art interactive classroom offers students a safe and friendly environment in which to practice and progressively build confidence. In the afternoon, all students will have the option to join Captain Nielsen on actual round-trip flights between Burbank and Las Vegas.
