Maria T. Talloni-Perlett holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Evolutionary Studies from SUNY New Paltz. She graduated cum laude, and earned research awards in both academic disciplines. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at Fordham University.
Maria is completing her specialist-year internship with the United Nations, where she serves as the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) Student Representative. In this role, she also contributed as the co-editor of the UN Student Newsletter. Additionally, Maria has co-authored a book chapter titled “Ethical Dilemmas in Interdisciplinary Collaboration” in Resolving Ethical Challenges in Social Work Practice.
Driven by a deep commitment to social justice, Maria is passionate about advocating for systemic change and empowering marginalized communities. After graduation, she aims to pursue a career in local or international government, focusing on policy development and reform that advances equity and human rights.
