HI! I'm Mademoiselle Austin. I am Swiss-Canadian and was born and raised in Kitchener ON. I am bilingual (French-English) and I have a passion for the french language and culture that I wish to share.

Philosophy

3 key things: Passion, Connection, Growth

Passion: I am passionate about the french language and Canadian history and I want to share that with my students.

Connection: I need to have a strong rapport with my students . I need to make the learning relevant and meaningful to them

Growth:We all need to be pushed outside of our comfort zone, we need to try new things and discover our capabilities and ourselves. I want to encourage student's growth and also grow as an educator.

I want to be a positive influence in my students' life, I want to assist them in their development and their discovery of their abilities, value, and worth.

A note for my fellow educators:

I am a positive, adaptable and reliable person. I take this profession and the influence and impact that I have very seriously. I am committed to life long learning as well as both academic and extracurricular programs. Specific to FSL it is my passion not my ticket in the door.I am constantly trying to improve my french and have a lot of cultural knowledge due to my various exchanges.
