Tamara Redi

Animal lover Tamara Redi donates her time and money to numerous organizations that fight for animal rights. Founded in 1986, the Farm Sanctuary, Inc. rescues mistreated animals enduring horrendous living conditions in farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses. During its early days, the Farm Sanctuary, Inc. operated on funds from the sale of veggie hot dogs. Now, hundreds of thousands of supporters such as Tamara Redi allow the organization to save more animals. An advocate of alternatives to animal research and testing, Tamara Redi donates to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Established in 1985, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine fights to end all cruel and unusual medical experiments on helpless, confined animals. Closer to her home in Florida, Tamara Redi gives her free time to the Friends of Jupiter Beach. Started in 1994 to keep a stretch of Jupiter Beach dog friendly, Friends of Jupiter Beach was created by one woman and today consists of 5,000 members and sponsors. Operating with no financial support from the government, Friends of Jupiter Beach has removed an estimated 30,000 pounds of garbage from the beach since 1996. When Tamara Redi is not volunteering in her community, she loves to spend time with her two dogs Brittany and Nikki. One of her favorite locations to go on hikes with her much-loved pets is her vacation home in the High Country of North Carolina. Spots along the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469.1-mile stretch of scenic roadway, serve as popular hiking trails for Tamara Redi and her dogs. In addition, Tamara Redi likes to mountain bike, snow tube, travel and camp in RVs, kayak, and scuba dive. When resting and relaxing, Tamara Redi takes pleasure in books by authors James Patterson, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz. Tamara Redi also enjoys watching football, baseball, and basketball games and rooting for her favorite teams.
