Tamar Marvin
Writer, Scholar, and Web Developer in Modiin, Israel
I hold a Ph.D. in Medieval & Early Modern Jewish Studies and am also a rabbinical student at Yeshivat Maharat. My academic work explores the history of Jewish ideas, and I’m especially fascinated by how people across the centuries have wrestled with the “big questions” of Torah, halakha, philosophy, and meaning.
I believe magic happens when people encounter Jewish texts. My goal is to make traditional study and Jewish history accessible, relevant, and alive for learners today.
Alongside my scholarship, I’m now training as a full-stack developer. For me, code is another language of creativity—one that lets me build new platforms, tools, and digital experiences for Jewish learning, publishing, and beyond.
I’ve been on the internet since the days of Lynx and have designed online learning experiences since 2013. I think the Jewish future is bright and that digital media can expand the circle of access to Jewish wisdom.
