Hi! I am a Mass Communications major with a concentration in Journalism and New Media and a minor in African and African-American Studies at Towson University. I hail from Gorgeous Prince George's County, Maryland! After leaving Towson, I plan on continuing my education in graduate school, hopefully in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area near home. I have a great interest in music so I would really like to first develop a more extensive news segment that’s all about what is happening in the music world and then I to report the news. After doing this for a while, I would love to move to down to the South and report the news locally. My mother’s side of the family is from there so it really feels like home. Originally, I came to Towson as a Theatre Arts major, hoping to eventually become an actress in Hollywood, but then the earthquake in Haiti in January 2010 made me change my mind. I saw Katie Couric and how she was the first news reporter from the U.S. to make it to Haiti and loved how she not only reported the news but how she felt for those affected and the passion she had for career, and that’s when I realized I wanted to be a broadcast journalist.
