Movember: currently supporting the Movember movement in Nov 2014. Along with millions of other people in over 20 countries worldwide, I will be growing a "lip warmer" for the month to raise funds for men's health and awareness in the areas of prostate cancer, testicular cancer and (for the first time this year) men's mental health.

Part of the Business Connector alumni, I was seconded from my employer Fujitsu for 12 months as a Business Connector for Tameside (June 2013-June 2014). I had the pleasure of working with colleagues from Business in the Community, a unique busines-led charity committed to transforming business and communities. We are proud to have HRH Prince of Wales as the President of BITC.

The Business Connectors programme is funded by the National Lottery and operates in areas of greatest need across England. Businesses including Fujitsu (my employer) have seconded employees for periods of up to 12 months in support of the programme. Each Business Connector works in a specific location to help build sustainable relationships between organisations, community groups and charities. There have been over 100 of us so far.

One thing we all have in common is that we are passionate about what we do. #BestJobInTheWorld
