I'm, Tamika Jolly, an aspiring Architectural Design Consultant, Multimedia Artist and Sketch Artist for the City of Cleveland, Ohio. My goal is to create exciting careers for our skilled international workforce, in Cleveland, Ohio, through developing concept sketches that will transform an entire metropolitan area into the largest thriving international tourism and leisure city in the United States of America. There are people like me who are not looking for "just a job" yet are seeking meaningful work that eliminates poverty and expands the middle to upper middle class. The City of Cleveland, Ohio will be a place where its residents consider it to be their number one vacation destination. ;-D
As Creative Director // Project Planner:
It's challenging creating concept designs that have to be implemented with safety being the number one priority. Thus far, I have submitted 2 business proposals (confidential) to architects and clients both, here, in the United States and overseas. I have realized that design for the past 20 years has been cookie-cutter in which most U.S. cities are becoming clones. Uniqueness, will boost our economy and help elevate Cleveland, Ohio's socioeconomic status.
Since the age of four (1979), I have loved art. Finger painting, while in nursery school, was my favorite activity. In high school, my primary focus was college preparatory (science, math, English -- creative writing and humanities). There was no time for art. As an adult, other stresses had to be dealt with such as: apartment rent, vehicle payments, insurance, working two jobs, recessions, inflated apartment rent, work hours cut, four day work weeks (one week I only worked two days), college tuition payments, student loan repayments.
Who has time for art?
Hell, I needed money to: put food in the fridge, keep clean clothes on my body, purchase feminine hygiene product, refill my vehicle's gas tank, pay my library fines, mobile phone, home phone and utility bills and to explain while next month's payment might be a little late.
You know -- the cost of being grown in America (Eastside Story)!
