Hello there! I'm Tammy and I'm a native Michigander, avid camper, travel researcher and road trip planner. For over 20 years, my husband and I have balanced the stress of being a police family by enjoying a yearly, 2-3 week road trip. Many of our favorite trips have centered around camping and hiking adventures in the National Parks, as well as driving America's Byways. Together, with our two children, we have had a ton of fun exploring nearly every state in the continental US!

Camping recipes and menu ideas are a theme throughout my posts. I love to cook with tomatoes as well as basil, rosemary and other herb from my kitchen garden. I always pack a few sprigs to use at camp! My home kitchen often smells of warm vanilla, dark chocolate, peanut butter or fruity baked goods. Blueberries, cherries, bananas. . . they all make it into my oven. I'll post these "before you go" recipes too.
