Tammy Mehlhaff
Social Worker
Though she enjoyed a career in Public Relations, Media and PR, Tammy Mehlhaff always thought something was missing.
It occurred to her several years ago, while serving as a Marketing Manager and Trauma-Informed Care trainer for a non-profit in Billings, MT what that “something” was. While working in this position, Tammy started research on the effects of Psychological Trauma on children. She also worked with a large team of experts in this field, and began to be inspired by their work. As she watched them help children and families overcome some of life's greatest challenges, Tammy felt deeply called to follow in their footsteps. When that non-profit, unfortunately, closed their doors, Tammy decided that, rather than moving on to the next marketing job, that she would begin to explore the world of social work.
In December, 2018, she was admitted to the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, while at the same time holding down full-time jobs in child welfare, and school social work. Tammy graduated from University of Denver in 2023.
Tammy's biggest passions are helping children overcome trauma, helping families form connections, and helping others see their own unique potential. She enjoys watching people explore their creativity, helping them grow in ways they never thought imaginable.
Tammy is an award-winning public speaker, a martial artist black belt, a dog mom, and “Professional-Level” nerd.
