Tanaka is highly passionate, when it comes to the development of young people. He works with young people to develop not only their self confidence, but also their emotional and social competences. His work is delivered through workshops, where he uses a range of activities to get his message across. Tanaka has a unique ability to connect with students, as he relates to their world.

His faced many of the challenges students go through today and uses his experience for students to learn from.

Tanaka holds a strong belief that every young person irrespective of upbringing has something special to contribute in the World and it is our responsibility to give them the right guidance and to cultivate their talent.

Up to date, he has worked with over 100 students, from both Bristol Metropolitan Academy and City Academy Bristol. With one Year 10 student saying;

"The workshops have made me realise how important school is, because the qualifications you get from school can determine the type of job you get when you leave school and ultimately the quality of life you will have."
