Tanaya Walters is a change leader with emphasis on organizational development, strategic planning and business startup. She has spent over two decades of her career working in HigherEducation to improve organization efficiency and student life. Tanaya’s skills, professionalismand commitment to enhancing the student experience have transformed her into a leader andan inspiration to her peers and community. She goes above and beyond in any endeavor sheundertakes. Her diligence and commitment to her career has led to incredible transformationsfor every institution to which she has contributed.

Dr. Walters received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Master of Science degree in Managerial Technology from Johnson & Wales University. Tanaya Walters also holds a coaching certification in both EQ-i 2.0 and EQ-i 360. She is a frequent guest lecturer and has shared her knowledge on a wide variety of topics including leadership development; personal and professional organization; first-generation college student support; college advising and transition support for students and parents; and college student development.

When not offering her coaching and consulting expertise, Dr. Walters spends her free time volunteering for local causes that work to improve her community. She has served as a Board Member for the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts & Culture in Charlotte and the Greater Charlotte YMCA. She has volunteered her time to mentoring children living in the Charlotte area. Most recently, she volunteered as an image consultant and guest lecturer for the Dress for Success organization. Dr. Tanaya Walters is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership; Leadership Charlotte; and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute.
