Jean-Pierre Mongard
Designer, Project Manager, and Architect in Madrid, España
I'm an architect by the School of Architecture of Barcelona. But that's just what my university degree says, that paper that's stored in a drawer at home.
I started working in the domain of architecture as a scholar at the age of 20, when I was studying my second year . Since then I combined my studies with professional practice in several architecture studios of my birth town in an uninterrupted way until finishing the race.Almost at the same time that I obtained my degree, they put me in charge as manager of a newly created landscape architecture office. I was involved in its genesis, directing, organizing and training the young professionals who came to work with us, setting the work guidelines, managing the projects both in the office and on building sites.
After eight years of collaboration, I broke up to start my own office together with a colleague on the island of Tenerife. Although we won some public works competition and did some other projects, after a couple of years of crisis the announced "green shoots" did not arrive and I decided to emigrate again, now abroad, not to stop with my learning and development professional.
Chance and / or friendship took me to Marrakech, Morocco, where I went back to devoting myself to the development and direction of projects and architectural works but also, now, to start fully in the interior design and decoration world. After eight years in Morocco I moved back to Spain, now in Madrid, although I still travel and develop my projects in the Maghreb country.
So my title says that I am an architect of the school in Barcelona, just like this . But as Maruja Torres would say, "more masters will give you life". Now, above all, I'm Mica's father and when I stop looking at her and she stops watching me, I dedicate my time, experience and learning to all this stuff of architecture, interior design, landscape, design ...
