Tang Duyen Hong

Born in March 1981 in Nghe An, a poor coastal province of Vietnam. Graduated from Faculty of Tourism, Hanoi Cultural University in 2003 and got her Master degree in Cultural studies – that major in tourism in 2011.

Hong is the Founder of Marine Gift; she got the award for Social Entrepreneur in 2010 (which sponsor by Center for Social Initiatives Promotion, is the first organization promoting social entrepreneur in Vietnam) for the idea of establishing up a social enterprise which can support women living in and around marine protected areas with vocational and living skills training.

Before stop working to establish up MG, Hong has worked for the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) – a Vietnamese NGO working in coastal areas of Vietnam for more than 5 years and Vietnam Tourism Administration for 3 years. She is so creative, willing to learn but very stubborn, know how to accept failures and be patient to follow out her desire and commitment.

Hong believe that with the right knowlegde and skills, poor women can live in harmony with marinelife and best support marine conservation!
