Tangela Q. Parker is an award-winning, global marketing and external affairs executive. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of External Affairs, overseeing strategic communications, marketing, governmental relations, development, and community engagement across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Parker has held senior marketing and external affairs roles within the healthcare industry, including Centene Corporation, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, and CVS Health, where she led initiatives focused on market growth, brand strategy, and community impact.

A recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Parker is recognized for her leadership, civic service, and influence across both corporate and nonprofit sectors.

She is a proud member of the National Association of Female Executives, the Alcorn State National Alumni Association, the American Society of Public Administrators, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Network of Executive Women, and the Junior League of Atlanta. She also volunteers with organizations including Agape Youth & Family Center, Dress for Success Atlanta, Andrew and Walter Young YMCA, CHOICES4Kids, Mary Hall Freedom House, Hosea Helps, and Kate’s House.

Parker earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and pre-law from Alcorn State University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
