My most recent entrepreneurial venture was Fitness Life magazine, which I co-founded in 2002 and sold in February 2012. As publisher/editor I leveraged my experience in health and fitness to fulfil the magazine's vision of helping all people 'live better'.

A serial entrepreneur, I developed and ran the Fitness Life Awards from 2005-2009 before selling the event to FitnessNZ.

I began my business career by co-founding a chain of retail stores (Exagym Wellington and Hound Dog NZ), which we took from one store to eight, whilst also developing a fitness clothing range that was distributed throughout NZ and Australia. After seven years I sold my 50% share in these companies.

I have post-graduate qualifications in psychology from Victoria University of Wellington, love meeting people, keeping fit, travelling, social activities, enjoying friends and have two beautiful children I am raising as a sole parent.

Member of EO (Entrepreneurs Organisation) since 2003, currently Co-Chair for Sponsorship on the EO New Zealand board.
