Hi! My name is Tania Croicu and I have been skiing since I could walk. My dad grew up skiing in Romania as a young child, and my mom picked up the sport with him. When they moved to the United States and had me and my brother, they kept up with skiing. This means my brother and I were brought up skiing basically our whole lives. Having skied for so long, around elementary school age, I started forming a dislike for the sport. I stopped seeing it as a fun activity with my parents and started thinking of it as a chore. Now, let me add some context. Since we are from Georgia, the only somewhat close place to ski is in Tennessee, which is not known for the best slopes due to its southern location on the East Coast. But as I reached middle and high school age, I finally realized how lucky I am to be able to ski so often and to have been since a very young age. One of my bucket list items is to go skiing near the West Coast, preferably in Colorado or Utah! So, the moral of my story is that I love skiing again and realized how blessed I am. :)
