Tanim Jabid Hossain

I am an Associate Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, focusing on the intricate biochemical mechanisms that drive interactions among various organisms. My research spans diverse areas, including animal and plant probiotics, extremophiles, and clinical, zoonotic, and phytopathogens. I am particularly interested in the bioactive compounds produced by these organisms, such as exopolysaccharides, biosurfactants, and glycan-modifying molecules, and their applications for environmental and health benefits. I am enthusiastic about collaborating on projects related to microbial biochemistry, biotechnology, and systems biology. Beyond research, I am deeply committed to mentoring and nurturing the next generation of scientists.
