Howdy, my name is Tanischa Smith and I am from Portland Oregon. I am a mom of 3, and I have been married for 11 years. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Social Work, but I have a feeling that may change soon.
Beauty for Ashes is my crochet business. It is based on Isaiah 61:3 which reads "...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."
I believe that God is able to turn the ashes of life into something beautiful. No matter what ashes your life may hold, nothing is wasted. I believe that every person is valuable, and through Beauty for Ashes I want to touch the lives of people with my crochet items as symbols of that value and beauty.
