I work as a researcher and writer in the areas of popular culture and critical thinking, Writer by day, Heroine by night but most of the time a simple Geek.

When I was a kid my favorite movies were Star Wars, The Sound of Music, and Labyrinth. I like to think that my tastes have grown more sophisticated by now, but I may be delusional. I do see movies and read books in a wide range of genres, and I enjoy them immensely.

But when it comes down to it, I love the escapism and other worldliness that fantasy brings me. I can't yet discuss The Deathly Hallows without choking up. I get a wistful look in my eye when I think about the Arthurian legends and Greek Mythology.

Hey I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek. Huge difference, right? So I love geeky games and gadgets. But I am also very social, I love clothes and makeup, I can sing and dance, I like the outdoors, and I enjoy my drink. I guess that makes me...a well-rounded geek? Why, Why not?

Did I mention that I'm a Member of The Rebel Alliance?? Oh yes, my coordinates 40.801936,-73.264268 on sector GMT-5 EST, Y2K survivor, 911 and a tsunami survivor as well Yikes!!! Colleague of Dr Emmet Brown, and Always thinking 4th dimensionally.

What? oh, yep, I totally forgot.... I am a world-class storyteller and this is my art and craft. I've recently jumped into the water with both feet, ditching my desk at the office for the couch at home. When I'm not writing, I can be found doing some Urban Spelunking, playing Go and Kempo.
