Tanya Renee James, MSW

Tanya James, founder of Strategic Outcomes, LLC, is an agile facilitator, dynamic trainer, and respected community engagement expert who inspires and empowers people to lead as a way of life.

Ms. James possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about life-long learning and equipping people with the tools needed to support both individual and community transformation. She is a big picture thinker and inspired by opportunity.

For over a decade, she has led capacity building initiatives across the Gulf Coast to build and strengthen organizational systems while supporting the growth and development of nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs who serve as catalysts for change.

Ms. James has worked in community on behalf of Southern Rural Access Program (RWJF), Southern Rural Asset Building Coalition (Ford Foundation), Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Louisiana Department of Economic Development, Federation of Southern Cooperatives, Foundation for Louisiana, Louisiana Area Health Education Centers, Louisiana Public Health Institute, Human Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

Her specialty is facilitating transformative conversations that support leaders in creating clarity and order in the midst of rapid change. She has a keen ability to guide projects from conception to creation. Ms. James is a natural at connecting the dots and gifted with strong intitution and attention to details . She is skilled in managing group dynamics and designing highly effective approaches that deliver results. Her life's work is building communities of people leading full and powerful lives.
