Tanzeel Ahmed

My name is Tanzeel Ahmed and I am a student at the University of Georgia. I major in both Economics and Political Science and am a member of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity where I assist in setting up and organizing social events. I currently work at Dairy Queen/ Orange Julius as a crew member and spend any free time I have drawing, cooking, or even writing. I was born in St. Louis, Mo and lived there for nine years until I moved to Richland, WA where I stayed for four years. Eventually I moved yet again to Lawrenceville, GA where I finished middle school and high school before attending the University of Georgia. I was very involved in after school activities in high school. I was a member of Mock Trial, National Honor Society, and Young Progressives. I also was the mascot during my senior year and did a lot of work tutoring students after school and helped out with the Relay for Life. I even attended a summer school program at Georgetown University through the Junior State of America. I also tried to make an impression wherever I went, which is why I always joke around, became a mascot, and even did stand-up. I came to UGA hoping to make a name for myself and take initiative with my life. I'm not sure where I'll be after college but I hope to steer whatever path I find into a place I want to be. Whether that be prominence in the business world or even a role in politics, I hope I find something I enjoy in the near future.
