Tanzir Islam Britto is a physician.
His medical journey began at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College (BSMMC), formerly recognized as Faridpur Medical College. Here, he achieved his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). After this accomplishment, he interned at Dhaka Medical College (DMC), further honing his medical skills and solidifying his medical passion.
Britto's quest for knowledge didn't end there. He furthered his post-graduate training in Medicine at DMC and underwent specialized training in Endocrinology at the esteemed Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation in Diabetes, Endocrine, and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM).
He had the opportunity to serve as a Resident in Nephrology at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. However, he chose not to continue his residency there for personal reasons. Currently, he's in the process of migrating to the National Institute of Kidney Diseases & Urology (NIKDU) with aspirations to specialize in Nephrology. In addition, he offers his medical services at a kidney hospital, a venture he finds immensely fulfilling.
On the educational front, Britto's early schooling took place at Bangladesh Bank High School, culminating in his Secondary School Certificate (SSC). He later briefly joined Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai and eventually completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Ideal School and College.
His medical journey wasn't without challenges. Due to health setbacks, he migrated from BSMMC during his MBBS. Similarly, his residency at Chittagong Medical College Hospital encountered interruptions. But these trials only exemplify how his medical path has been both demanding and enriching.
He enjoys web series, movies, and documentaries outside his medical endeavours. As a keen reader, his current top reads are medical textbooks, including 'Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine,' 'Robbins Basic Pathology,' and 'Guyton and Hall's Textbook of Medical Physiology'.
