A singer of Bengali modern songs, Rabindra sangeet, Bengali folk songs, Hindi melodies, and light classical songs.
A disciple of Shri Abhijit Bandyopadhyay, the renowned composer of the Golden Era of Bengali modern songs.
Also received training from Sm. Sumitra Sen, Shri Pijush Kanti Sarkar, Shri Dipak Bandhopadhayay and in Dhrupad & Khayal.
Graduated with distinction marks in Sangeet Visharad from Allahabad Sangeet Kola Kendra, Allahabad.
Performed in public musical programs in different towns & cities all over India and overseas.
A known performer in various TV channels and radio stations in Kolkata, India.
Published 8 CD albums in Rabindra-sangeet and Bengali modern songs from Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
Performed consecutively for many years in the Annual Music Festival organized by the Dept. of Information & Culture, Govt. of West Bengal
Currently, he is working on a new Bengali modern song and his own composed Hindi basic song.
