Olivia Dolan

Three years ago I started my journey at UMASS Amherst. That was a big change for me because I grow up in a small town and UMASS is a huge campus. And now as a junior here at UMASS I am proud to say that I am a part of the Isenberg School of Management here at UMASS, with the major of Hospitality and Tourism Management. A passion that I have is doing crafts. I found that it is something that helps me unwind after a stressful week of school. My favorite craft is crocheting. Many years ago I started off knitting. I liked it but I kept on dropping the needle will all the stitches on it. And if you are a knitter or know someone who likes to knit then you know that it can be a disaster when you drop the needle with the stitches on it. So I asked a friend to help me get started on learning to crochet and after that I never looked back and I have been crocheting ever since. At UMASS I am a part of the knitting and crocheting club called In Stitches. In fact I am the Treasure for the clubs. It is a great club to come and relax. And knit or crochet what you like and make some great friends. In the future I plan on selling some of the blankets, mittens, scarfs and etc. that I make.
