I've always been driven to serve my family. When I conjured up life at an early age, family was always front and center. As I write this, I have been married for 21 years, with three outstanding teenage and young adult children. It has been my mission to bring these children up to be strong, smart, independent and contributing members of our society. So far, so good!

When I'm asked why I do what I do, my why is simple: my family. Our family company, Waypoint Property Group, is a prime example. I'll admit that commercial real estate ticks many boxes for me: I enjoy real estate, I enjoy being one of the few minority women involved in the space, I enjoy the size and scope of the projects and the outsized returns, I am happy to have a solid retirement strategy that will greatly exceed my limited lifespan and I am ecstatic to bring investments of this type to other minorities who otherwise may not understand the options available to them in securing their financial future.

But beyond all of those really wonderful reasons, I know that giving my children a role model of entrepreneurship, perseverance, and continuing education coupled with the exposure to wealth development and preservation strategies will give them the tools they will need to flourish as adults, parents and grandparents. It is my hope they will pass along these very same things to my future generations. I know they are absorbing the lessons I am teaching and I am overjoyed in the understanding of what my family will become.
