Tara Cahoon

I am a graduate of East Carolina University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal/Organizational Communications in the Spring of 2014.

I have spent the last 12 years of my life as a busy stay home wife and mother to 4 children. Above all, they are my first priority. In that vein, it was important to show them the value of education and that they can accomplish anything they put their minds to. I re-enrolled at East Carolina University to finish the degree program I had started many years prior. The challenge of continuing my education while raising small children has been a very rewarding one in that I have excellent organizational and time management skills. To further impart the importance of education, I began homeschooling to ignite a love of learning inside them. It has been an amazing journey for all of us!

I am very active in my church community. I coordinate a bi-monthly mothers group that has the goal of equipping and encouraging moms to be their very best. I also volunteer mentoring middle school students on a weekly basis. I stay up to date on the latest trends in social media and new technologies. I also enjoy reading and writing fiction and poetry. My other interests include photography and various other artistic forms of expression from crafting to sewing to painting.
