Tara Tiger Brown has served as an entrepreneur, executive director, technical director and product manager for numerous institutions and organizations including Microsoft, Digital Media Learning Research Hub at UCI Irvine, Connected Learning Alliance (CLA), Annenberg Innovation Lab at University of Southern California and Born This Way Foundation.

In 2014 Tara co-founded KitHub, a company that empowers kids and adults to dive into hands-on and creative STEM activities and environmental monitoring projects in the classroom and at home by using kits designed by engineers and created for everyone.

Tara co-founded and is a board member of Connected Camps, a benefit corporation that provides connected learning experiences that foster creativity, problem solving, collaboration and interest-driven learning.

Tara also sits on the board of the non-profit LA Makerspace (LAM) that she co-founded in 2012. LAM is a community of makers that bring science and tech opportunities to underserved kids in Los Angeles through a partnership with the LA Public Library.

In addition to running KitHub, Tara advises schools and communities on starting their own makerspaces and STEM classrooms.
