I like and do a little bit of everything, but for the last decade or so I've made my living in marketing. By day I work for AmeriFirst Financial, Inc. I help our loan officers get more business with the wide variety of marketing tools and systems we offer. Especially important to us is building relationships with real estate professionals. Recently I helped a group of loan officers each gain 5 new referral partners in 90 days. One of those loan officers tripled his business.
Before coming to the mortgage industry I taught school for 4 years. I come from a long line of school teachers, and I'm pretty sure teaching is in my blood. I worked for a social services organization where I taught at a small private school for juvenile criminal and sex offenders in residential treatment. I'd likely still be there if they'd had enough funding to keep me. I loved those kids!
As a graduate of Scottsdale Culinary Institute, I am passionate about all things food - especially baking and pastry. In the past I have taught private cooking classes and thoroughly enjoyed it. These days I mostly cook for love.
I am passionate about travel and culture. I speak fluent French and Spanish. I learned Spanish having a summer home in Cuernavaca, Mexico as a youth where I attended language school. I studied French in high school and at BYU before being privileged to serve a mission in Belgium and France for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My next scheduled trip is to the south of France and Paris later this year.
